Tameside, Oldham and Glossop Mind |
Mind is a mental health wellbeing centre offering counselling, courses, workshops, advice, drop-ins e.g. welfare rights and housing support, veggie cafe and internet access. Minds Matter |
Minds Matter supports people with mild to moderate common mental health problems. Including loss and bereavement. Mental Wellbeing Practitioners, Peer Support Workers and Counsellors who can help you to manage and overcome your difficulties via; counselling, one-to-one support, groups, drop-in support and coaching |
The services operates from Monday- Friday 9-4.30pm It is open to anyone aged 16+ years Self-referral/ professional referral accepted Evening & weekend appointments will be made available where needed. DURING COVID 19 Minds Matter staff are set up to facilitate 1:1 appointments and therapy sessions remotely by telephone. Community drop ins are no longer taking place in the community venues however any person who would have accessed these can ring the main Minds Matter number and a Peer Support Worker can ring them back to facilitate a meaningful contact , signpost or facilitate a referral as they would at a drop in. |
Healthy Minds Pennine Care FT |
Healthy Minds is a talking therapies service. Providing support and treatment for those who are experiencing symptoms such as difficulty sleeping, low mood / depression, stress, worry or anxiety, feelings of hopelessness or panic attacks. Healthy Minds also offer a service for complicated bereavements and adjustments to life events (6-12 months post incident). The service offers an online therapy programme called SilverCloud which is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can start the therapy straight away and it can be done at a time and place that suits you. You'll also have access to the system for a year after you’ve been discharged from the service. |

Infinity Initiatives |
Infinity Initiatives offer free support and advocacy to people across Greater Manchester. We provide 1:1 appointments with highly skilled key workers or invite you to attend a drop in session. We also run a programme called SAILS - Supporting all in loss and separation. Under the umbrella of loss, the following areas would be covered: Bereavement (including pets) divorce, relationship breakdown and separation including children taken into care and family members working away or imprisoned and individuals who have been, or had a family member diagnosed with dementia or terminal conditions. When you come in to see us, we will undertake an initial assessment and then may be allocated a key worker who will be available for dedicated 1:1 support. Within our centre we have a pay what you can café so you are able to use the café as a customer and speak with staff when you feel ready. We have a large in-house counselling service. This is a free service and all counsellors have the discretion to counsel clients as long as they deem necessary. |

Willow Wood Hospice |
Willow Wood Hospice offers a wide range of support to patients and their families, from emotional support to practical help. Bereavement Support Group - This peer support group is open to anyone whose loved one was cared for or supported by Willow Wood Hospice and runs on the first Wednesday of every month between 6:30pm to 8:30pm at Willow Wood. |

Reuben's Retreat |
Reuben’s Retreat is a home-from-home for families bereaved of a child and for children with life limiting or threatening conditions and their parents and siblings. We provide a range of services for siblings and parents that have lost a child, including counselling, support groups, well-being, bereavement books, activities, short breaks & day trips and a place to feel understood and supported. We support parents and siblings of child loss where the child was aged 21 years or younger and the loss was no more than 5 years ago. |

Christie Hospital Telephone Helpline |
A helpline for patients and relatives is now operational. It is manned by senior nursing staff from 8am – 8pm, 7 days a week including bank holidays, specifically to offer psychological support for patients whose treatment has been paused, or stopped and for relatives/loved ones of inpatients who are in the Last Days of Life and unable to have visitors due to infection risks. Patients and relatives who would like to access the service should call 0161 956 1900. |
